Duffey Fest 2017 Recap
With our first winter trips come to a close the great memories were worth recapping and sharing. It was an incredible time in the mountains with a great group. We ran 2 separate trips at Rohr Lake in St’át’imc Nation traditional territory. As part of our visit, we took great care to leave no trace and respect the area visited.
It was a great crew of people and we were lucky to have beautiful weather. In the evenings, we gathered with our stoves and shared stories, experiences, tips and talked about avalanche topics such as the Human Factor in decision making.
Before bed we had beautiful starry skies and the calm sounds of water in the distance coming from Rohr Lake.
During the trip, there were opportunities to practice track setting, look at the snowpack and ski great loops. We explored the area well over the 6 days!
We even got a great ski ascent of Rohr Peak with incredible views of the surrounding peaks.
With such a great success on some of our first basecamps, we can't wait for more opportunities to share our amazing mountains spaces with such great people! Thanks for joining us!
