Basecamp Location - Nirvana Pass

DSC_2870.jpg

Nirvana Pass is located in the Pantheon Range, an eastern division of the Central Coast Mountains. The Pantheons are made up of peaks such as Osiris, Thor, Siva, Vishnu, etc. which truly jut out above the valley floor. Runs are exceptionally long and Nirvana Pass has long been well known as a haven of ski mountaineering for decades.

This location falls under our Tier 2- South Coast Location. Our camp will be established in sparse/meadowed forest with a multitude of ski descents and mountaineering objectives at our doorstep.

Possible summits include:

  • Mount Juno (2660m)
  • Mount Daunus (2631m)
  • And numerous other unnamed peaks

Our basecamp is placed high at 1750m, treeline elevation, with 1000m runs on all sides! One of our favourite runs follows next to the Siva glacier providing an amazingly scenic 1100m descent next to an icefall.
