The Munday's first explored this region a century ago but this legendary group of mountains still remains relatively unknown with few travellers due to its hard access. A world of ice and monstrous peaks, the Waddington Range hosts numerous large peaks and with Himalayan proportions, it was the film location of Seven Years in Tibet.

This location falls under our Tier 3- Central Coast Locations. Our camp will be established in the 2km wide (!!) Dais Glacier with a multitude of ski descents and mountaineering objectives in every direction.

Possible summits include:

  • NW summit of Waddington (3975m)
  • Mount Munday (3356m)

  • Mount Agur (3086m)
  • Whitetip Mountain (2444m)
  • Mount Finality (2828m)

And various other summits.

If lucky, an opportunity to ski a 1600m descent to the base of Fury Gap makes for the most incredible ski runs of your life.

A 1600m descent! That's 53oo feet of continuous vertical. Make sure those legs are in shape.
